The Music Production Team
I bring a diverse background in music and dressage to the art of freestyle music editing. My music education gives me the skill to edit music which is second to none.
I hold a BS in music from the University of Vermont and MM from UMass Amherst where I acted as Assistant Director of Bands on a full fellowship. I taught flute at the University of Mobile for a number of years and played principal flute in their orchestra. I've performed as soloist with many ensembles, including the Magnolia Chamber Orchestra and the Baldwin Pops.
While in graduate school at UMass, I studied dressage with Susan Blinks and Sarah Geikie during their tenures as Director of Riding. Other important trainers include my mentor, Arlene Rigdon, and Jos Sevriens. I'm a graduate of the USDF "L" Education Program and judged dressage shows for many years. At my Woodwind Farm, I bred and trained Swedish Warmblood horses and taught dressage lessons.
I've collaborated with David as my audio engineering specialist for most of my freestyle career and his understanding of dressage music production is matchless. David is a Professor of Music at the University of South Alabama where he is Director of the Music Theory and Technology Program.
David received his BM and MM degrees from the University of Florida and his DMA from the University of Alabama. David has designed or upgraded recording studios around the Southeast United States and records all musical programs at the university.
As composer and performing artist, David has presented his works to both national and international audiences.
